Let there be Mother

It was very emotional writing this poem. It might not be the best in measures when it comes to poem but it certainly is special for me as each sentence holds inexplicable significance.I dedicate this to my beloved mom and i would like to thank that one person who was instrumental in sparking off this poem. Thank you Mr.Vishy for bringing out this special one.

Mother sweet mother.

I am searching for words to script a poem about my mother,
That will remain timeless without any wither

I troubled her all the time resting in her womb,
Carrying me, she bore it all with customary aplomb

I screamed out loud when they disserved me from her,
I am sure it would have made her glad hearing my holler

She spent her days seeing me sleep,
In the night I engaged her with my weep

Crying and giggling I spent my infancy in her lap,
Enjoying the comfort of the gentle tap

I walked my first step making her proud,
She wished her boy would stand out in the crowd

Her work got multifold when I joined a school,
Amidst all chaos she remained so cool

She drudged all day to make ends meet,
I realize now that it was no mean feat

She had a goal to make me a man,
who can be the pride of the entire clan

Gods are there that she didn’t fail
Despite the fact that her son was frail

Life became better as the days passed by,
I owe it to mom, the family she always stood by

I love my mother with all my heart,
For in my life she played a gritty part

I pray god to give her a healthy life,
And bless her with joy in rife.
